Hamburg City Graffiti is one of the most comprehensive book about the history of graffiti writing in one specific city. It came out in 2003, showing as many sprayers as possible between those active from about 1997 to 2003, but the book focused also on the history of Hamburg graffiti, with a interview to Skena and Sagent who started painting in 1984. The texts, which are not signed, explain the city from a writer's viewpoint, pointing out, for example, that legal walls were so scarce in Hamburg that a piece hardly lasts longer than four weeks. Lots of photos and short texts describe both the vandal scene (with photos of trains) and the newcome street art scene. Do not forget that, in 2000, 2001 and 2002, Getting-Up organized in Hamburg the exhibition Urban Discipline. Two interviews with a judge of the Juvenile Court and a lawyer complete the overview given by this book to the Hamburg graffiti scene.
