Lonely Synthsis a photographic exploration of forgotten synthesizers found amidst the chaotic sprawl of a flea market. Discarded among mismatched objects, these electronic instruments emerge as solitary, melancholic figures—silent remnants of a not-so-distant past.
This is Marco Giambra's second photography book, followingParto da Torino col furgone. He didn’t initially set out to create a book about synths—in fact, he began shooting almost by accident, without knowing exactly where it would lead. But as a designer, he has always been drawn to objects: observing and comparing them, noticing how styles evolve, and how different manufacturers approach the same challenges in distinct ways. Looking back, he realizes that he had already been, unconsciously, constructing a visual narrative around these instruments.
