Taxidi—Greek for “Journey”—is a four-color screen print by London-based artist Pakal, the anonymous alter ego of an established creator. This edition marks a quieter, more introspective turn in Pakal’s practice. Stripped down yet symbolically rich, the composition invites a reflective reading, where meaning hovers just beneath the surface. Icons and echoes from previous works linger like ghosts, guiding the viewer through a contemplative visual landscape.
Rooted in a visceral, almost spiritual process, Pakal’s work is an exorcism of the interior—a raw expression untethered from identity, gender, or biography. Influences from Far Eastern and Central American Indigenous art flow through vivid colors and layered textures, adding mystery and emotional depth. In Taxidi, the noise recedes, and what remains is a quietly powerful invitation to look inward.
