From October 30 to December 20, 2014, Galerie Richard & Le Feuvre in Geneva hosted Paper Party 2, a vibrant group exhibition featuring ten key figures from the international urban art scene: Mr Jago, Sixe Paredes, Xenz, Ella & Pitr, Pixel Pancho, Alëxone Dizac, Jeff Soto, Mist, Sickboy, and Andrew McAttee.
Bringing together a wide range of approaches to paper-based art, the show highlighted the richness and versatility of this medium. Mr Jago's abstract compositions met the dreamlike landscapes of Xenz, while Ella & Pitr showcased their signature monumental collages. Sixe Paredes introduced ritualistic and symbolic geometries, and Pixel Pancho unveiled a retro-futuristic world populated by robotic figures. Alëxone Dizac blended humor and intricate graphic elements, while Jeff Soto conjured surreal environments inhabited by hybrid creatures. French graffiti pioneer Mist presented bold and dynamic abstractions, Sickboy added elements of pop and social satire, and Andrew McAttee offered dazzling explosions of color rooted in pop culture.
Paper Party 2 provided a unique opportunity to explore the expressive power of paper in contemporary urban art, reaffirming the capacity of these artists to expand the boundaries of street art beyond walls and into the realm of fine art.
