Wonbat & Cyprien M. - HONEY BUNS

WOMBAT is one of the most active writers in the streets of New York City from the recent years. Her elaborated tags are true eye-catchers and the choice of spots for her pieces e.g. rooftops within the city is as unique as her style of executing them. For HONEY BUNS Paris rooted photographer Cyprien M. accompanied WOMBAT at several daytime actions, obviously her preferred time to leave marks.

The big newspaper format of the zine allows to give a maximum of space for the shots in which WOMBAT most of the time can see been in action. Whether tagging beneath the ground spots with tags, close-ups of correction marker tags or trucks with roughly styled throw-ups: You feel like being side to side and join a day in her everyday life. The photo series are paused by pages with pages with wrappers of WOMBAT’s favourite snacks when hitting the streets: honey buns.

The 52-paged photo zine is limited to 400 copies only. We were able to get our hands on a few copies of this potential future classic portraying one of the most interesting writers from NYC at the moment.
