Mr. Lolo - Miss. Tic Romance

Stencil and spray paint on Montval 300g paper
Frame size: 50 x 50 cm
Collage size: 40 x 40cm
Edition of 1

Born in 1961 under the sign of Taurus, Mr. Lolo began his career on the stage of a wacky cabaret, Le Rocambole, learning the science of make-up from his mentor Pascal Chevalier, the great music-hall director of the 70s. He performed there for 4 years, before creating a duo of eccentric parodists. Los Lolos de Paris consisted of M. Lolo and Lorenzo l'Hispanophile, accompanied by Irish pianist Morgan Cooke.

In 1987, M. Lolo helped found Nuisibles, an association fighting AIDS and all forms of discrimination, with graphic artist Prince Vaillant and poet Philippe Fontaine. In 1989, he met the urban poet Miss Tic and began stenciling on the streets, working alongside her for several years.

Miss. Tic Romance portrays Mr. Lolo masked in the company of a young Miss. Tic under the Eiffel Tower.
