[EN] IX arbre, is a work dedicated to the IX movement in the work of Steph.Cop. The sculptor invited the photographer Bálint Pörneczi to cross their artistic singularities to take a look at the imagination that nourished this major cycle of Steph.Cop's work between 2008 and 2020, since the peregrinations in the forest, a dreamlike source of inspiration, the workshop in Morvan, the creative gestures, up to the search for the soul of the sculpted tree represented in the 9 ARO shapes which order the movement. From this meeting, photographs, writings, and the traces of a history inscribed in the material give a glimpse of the inseparable between the artist, his place, and the work.

[FR] IX arbre est un ouvrage consacré au mouvement IX dans l’œuvre de Steph.Cop. Le sculpteur a convié le photographe Bálint Pörneczi à croiser leurs singularités artistiques pour porter un regard sur l’imaginaire qui a nourri ce cycle majeur du travail de Steph.Cop entre 2008 et 2020, depuis les pérégrinations en forêt, source onirique d’inspiration, l’atelier en Morvan, la gestuelle créatrice, jusqu’à la recherche de l’âme de l’arbre sculpté figurée dans les 9 formes ARO qui ordonnent le mouvement. De cette rencontre, des photographies, des écrits, et les traces d’une histoire inscrite dans la matière donnent à entrevoir l’indissociable entre l’artiste, son lieu, et l’œuvre.
