A look back over the 40-year career of CES53, the legendary Dutch writer. Nearly 2000 photos on over 400 pages tell the story of this extraordinary graffiti artist, whose personal history is closely linked to that of the European scene, both on trains and walls. Numerous texts accompany the photos, revealing his beginnings, his passion for rolling, his experiments with frescoes and canvases, and even a few sculptures.

CES53 is, to say the least, a pioneer in the Netherlands: the first to paint a wholecar there, the first to paint a train in Belgium, and for 25 years he was even thought to be the first Dutchman to paint the New York subway. He's one of those who defined graffiti on trains as an art of living, and an inspiration to the famous MSN Crew and many other writers in Europe. A true original when it comes to style, his letter designs, shapes and use of color are all his own.

This book, with its deluxe binding and polished design, covers in detail a path from his childhood to his current pieces. The texts are written by Milk, Eras, Sento, Cat22 and many others. This opus is a must-have (2.5 kilos!) for trainwriting fans and lovers of Dutch style, of which CES53 is one of the most appreciated founders.
