Mr. Lolo began his career on the music-hall stage in the early 80s, where he learned the art of make-up. A few years later, he took to the streets of Paris by night in the company of Miss.Tic, with whom he acquired a taste for stenciling.
His creations, which are now more often produced in his studio, are imbued with his theatrical and plastic tribulations: the glitter and rhinestones applied to his works lend a singular sparkle to his portraits. Operetta stars, movie stars, fetish animals and close friends make up the artist's personal gallery, where she takes pleasure in transcending gender and sex to paint her hymn to life.
