Twenty years ago, the anonymous French street artist known as Invader visited Melbourne and secretly installed twenty-five tile mosaics across the city.
Unlike most street art of the period, many of invader's artworks are still intact. Off The Grid explores the legacy of his visit and the recurring grid motif in Melbourne street art, referencing both the city's colonial streetscape and the pixelated screens of digital culture.
The booklet comes with a map of the exhibiting Invader works in the Melbourne Grid.
