San Francisco has the unique ability to sense your deepest hopes and fears, almost as if it feeds on your soul; if you love her, she’ll let you know she does too. That’s why I left my heart in San Francisco, like George Cory and Douglass Cross in 1954. This city compelled me to capture every detail and every encounter with its inhabitants through my camera lens while exploring the enchanting wonderland known as the East Bay (or the B-east, as the locals say). I felt like a lost soul trying to find its place on earth. When leaving Milan, I didn’t know if I’d ever see my hometown again, if I had to go back to my sound engineer life or if it was the beginning of a completely different story.
