Skateboard Echoes is a tribute to the creativity of skateboard artists. It focuses on "classics" of the skateboard design and explores their multiples "echoes" made over time through 1200 decks showcased in the book.
These echoes take mostly two forms. The historical series (in the 80's), produced by one single artist, who brought his idea to life over the boards, like a comic book character living different adventures. The parodies (since the 90's), or how to divert a concept and make fun of it ad infinitum, as skaters know how to do it so well... or the art of exploiting one idea in every possible direction...
