For Visiting Saeio in Marseille Emmett Edelstein went on a photographic journey for the traces and heritage of an exceptional artist. The Parisian graffiti writer Saeio, member of the legendary PAL crew, tragically died in 2017. He was best known for his outstanding pieces and tags which became more and more abstract over a short period of time.

As shown in the monograph Saeio 2009-2014 the artist did paint well visible street spots, but also went to more hidden places to paint his unique pieces. 800 km away from the French capital at the concrete riverside of Marseille he made some of his most iconic works. Due to the fact that most of his pieces and tags in Paris do not exist anymore the photographer Emmett Edelstein went in 2024 to Marseille especially to see what is left some ten years after Saeio did paint there.

Some pieces totally changed their colour schemes and whole appearance due to strong sunlight influence, others look as if they have been executed a few days ago. The 52-paged publication consists of detailed and panoramic shots as well as an index with the year of the production at the end. Since all shown pieces still exist today the place becomes something like a museum which makes the zine an exhibition catalogue.
