Wall Elements 2 is the first large-scale research of Russian street art from Kaliningrad to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, an attempt to capture works of the most notable graffiti and street art artists, completely different and unlike each other, drawing both illegally as well as in legal places, to capture their approaches and methods of working on the street. The concept of the project is primarily based on the study of the urban environment and street culture in each particular Russian city: Kaliningrad, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Krasnodar, Sevastopol, Saratov, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Vladivostok, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Only Russian artists with a “street background” take part in the project: 70 authors from 17 Russian cities. Thus, the task of the author of the project is to show a cross-section of the Russian street art, to present artists who have extensive experience of working on the street and collaborating with galleries and museums. Among these artists are both young and well-known names, authors of the largest murals in the world, as well as participants of the international biennale of street art, major festivals and exhibitions. Despite commercial success, they do not leave the street, determining the visual culture of the city.
