It's with great joy that we exhibit Nick Walker’s work again.
While discovering his new work, a new tack is brought to light. Vandal evolves, sometimes flirting with abstraction in the coded work series.
This display is a synthesis of his classic work and of his experimentations, letting us have a glance at his inspirations.
This brings some questioning: Is Nick willing to make Vandal disappear? Will he be erased, replaced? ...or will he just evolve?
That remains a mystery. This recurrent character in Nick Walker's work is familiar, we share his numerous trips.
Maybe He is the one coming along with us. Be that as it may, we are very fond of him.
Some kind of silence is hovering over those canvases, projecting us to our own reflections.
The work we're presenting at the occasion of this "Unspoken Words" display is an overview of Nick's wide work as well as an open window on the future of his work.
Anyway, his world really lies here, a phantasmagorical universe, the expression of his humor, along with his vision of the world projecting us to our cities limbo.
With Vandal, we are a party to his schemes; the witness takes part and turns into a gentleman-bad boy.
So, what are those meaningful silences?
