This catalogue is dedicated to the Brazilian twin artists Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, known as Os Gemeos, who have been working in São Paulo since the late 1980s.
It brings together works on canvas, installations and interventions made for their first solo exhibition in Italy at the Galleria Patricia Armocida in Milan, from September 3 to November 3, 2007.
A love of drawing, attention to detail and absolute mastery of colour are some of the elements that distinguish the work of these artists, who are profoundly influenced by popular Brazilian culture, the urban context, and their very personal imagery.
Assum Preto is composed of colour pages of different weights, a hardcover in black canvas with four-colour embroidery and a unique silkscreen print inside created by Os Gemeos for the occasion.
