Join us at Le Grand Jeu Bookshop for a special event with Kairos, graffiti writer and artist from the Lyon area.
Since 2018, Kairos has been developing a unique artistic practice in the "Chemistry Valley" south of Lyon, exploring industrial wastelands and painting large-scale calligraphies directly onto freight trains. His haunting images—captured by night with flash photography—reveal forgotten zones where nature and infrastructure meet.
To mark the release of his new book Feu, Le Grand Jeu is also presenting Empreintes Carbone, a new series of original works. Responding to the slow disappearance of rail freight in favor of road transport, Kairos confronts highway imagery with fading traces of the railway world—cropped, erased, or left to decay—making absence a central theme.
Book Launch & Signing Event
Feu is a 124-page monograph featuring a text by curator and art historian Christian Omodeo, and a poem by artist and writer GUES.
📍 Kairos will be at Le Grand Jeu bookstore for a signing session on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 8 PM.
